Default Shifter **** Replacement. Difficulty?

I want to have a different Shift **** in my Monte.
How difficult is it to remove and replace with an aftermarket one?

Any recommendations and photos appreciated.

Not hard at all. slide the leather boot down the shifter till you see what looks like the head of a staple. You can remove this with a small flathead screwdriver. It will come out towards the radio. pull it completely out then pull up on the shifter and PRESTO, one shifter **** removed. Need pictures let me know and I will get some.

I was curious about the shift **** replacement too.

http://www.eautoworks.com/product-Nokya-23645.htm

That one looks similar (not chrome) to the one I saw in the pictures of montechick's. For a black interior, I think that polished dark aliminum would look nice.

Pepboys and Autozone have a few. There are a lot on the internet also. Removing the old one takes maybe a total of 5 minutes.

Need video I can do that.
