RPM Limit?

Default RPM Limit?

Hey guys, I just noticed that when i rev my engine , it only goes up to about 4000 rpm. Is this normal?

automatic btw

all monte carlos anymore if they are not modifyed are automatics. as for the rev. limitor yeah this is normal this is to prevent you from blowing the motor by over reving it.

If you rev it in neutral while you are still moving, you can beat the limiter.

yep but if you are not moving and in N or in Park, then 4k is the limit.
