Check it out! My Budweiser Chev got Monte of the Month!

http://www.pfyc.com/c/MC/2000-2005+C...ies+Store.html

You may not believe it, but this is the closest my car has gotten to winning any prizes or shows or anything. But it is also the only contest/ show like thing I've entered it in (I'm careful about not making money off this car - I figure that would give Budweiser the right to sue). I know its certainly not like winning a prize in a car show, but it comes at a nice time (I just had to out 'er in winter storage).

About
This is a 2004 Dale Jr Signature Series Monte Carlo SS. Ive owned it less than a year. I always dreamed of making some kind of Nascar replica. Although I had envisioned something older, my wife wanted something newer as this is our daily driver (in summer at least). This Special Edition supercharged Chevy was an awesome compromise and perfect starting point.

By no means is this project finished and it probably never will be. These arent even the most current photos but the car is in storage until late April. I`ll add a new gallery then.

Congrats Brent & Catherine!

I know Brent from the Jeff Gordon Monte site, and from Cardomain also.
Brent is also a proud new father. But I don't want to steal his thunder.

Welcome to MCF. Super nice Monte you've got. Congrats on the award.

There's a 5th gen Monte that looks pretty close to your car in my area.

Steal a pic of it for me would ya? Personally, I don't know why everybody doesn't have one (or something like it). Its not cheap, but its cheaper than a lot of more common mods. Not to toot my own horn to much, but I haven't seen too many Nascar replicas that I thought looked as good as mine. Somebody did post some amazing photos of a #8 replica over at the JGMonteCarloSS forum that blew mine away.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, yours looks better. The other one just didn't look right for some reason. I think the 8's were off.

Here's the pics of the 2007 replica that was talked about over at JGmontecarloSS

This is NOT JuniorCar's Monte. Thisone was found on ebay asking $29,000 with 22,000 miles. Auction ended with 0 bids.
