Har har JJ. Thanks everybody. I'm getting excited. He's going to talk to his friend tomorrow. I just owe him so much money already, we've got at least 100 in materials so far but my god... i saw her tonight and he did even MORE work on her... sanded out the rust spots on my wheel wells, fixed the crater in the door and made it nice and straight and even... my dad does GOOD work, he did it for years when I was a kid... retired from it when I was 13 and never looked back at it, wonder why he didn't, he LOVES doing body work and as you guys can see he does a GOOD JOB for somebody who's 62 and hasn't done it in years...

Good work so far. It should look like new when complete. I think the hardest part is going to be matching the paint color.

Your dad being a body shop guy knows what I mean. The paint on your car has weathered and faded over the years. Even if you don't notice it. But when fresh brand new paint is sprayed on, you'd notice the difference. A good painter takes this into account when mixing the paint for your car.

He'll do his best to match it up so it'll look like nothing was ever done to it. As funny as it may sound, a good repair job is the one you don't notice was ever done.

Taz he got fresh torch red, with red primer underneath and he swears it's not covering lol. He's going to blend and feather the clear up into my rear window panels and into my mouldings.. the door looks excellent if it weren't for the fact i've got a bent hinge and a down stryker plate because my door post got hit... and the screw on the stryker plate is stripped out so we can't move that DOWN to prevent the door from banging (it's a quick fix but the frame isn't bent and i'm not buying a new hinge). He said i should get door edge molding to prevent the paint from chipping away at the edges, yknow those ghastly crome things that people use to prevent door dings... i said i wasn't putting those ghastly looking things on my car.
