Default Out with the old, in with the new!

My '99 Monte is 18 years old with 222,000 miles. Over Christmas I drove 650 up to Rochester, NY (and back). Not a hint of trouble. Even stuck in that stupid traffic jam on I95.

The day after I returned I went to my local Chevy dealer and bought it's replacement, a 2017 Volt! Awesome car, plug in hybrid.

For the short term I plan on keeping my Monte as a "beater". No plans to sell it right now but if any of you live near N.E. NC or S.E. VA and want a cheap Monte let me know. I'm the original owner and I've done all the maintenance on it myself. The only thing I am forced to have someone else do is state inspections and tire changes.

I plan on sticking around here for the time being. I've gotten a lot of good advice here over the years, (intake manifold, wheels, air conditioning).
