New Project...

New Project...
Just bought my F-Body kit from ZZP, as well as Cryo Powerslot rotors, and brand new HPS brake pads...
I got my powerslots delivered here (for front) (Tuesday night)
I got the calipers in last night (Wednesday night)
I painted them Immediately (Wednesday night)
I took them down from drying (Today, Thursday)
Tomorrow morning I plan on installing the calipers, rotors, and new brakes... hopefully the paint has had enough time to dry so that it does not run... =)

RE: New Project...
i'm thinking of this for my own car.... let me know how you like those. Are those the 11" or 12" powerslots... i've heard the 12"s go right on perfect without any conversion kit? is that true... let me know how you like them.

RE: New Project...
I think your car has standard 12" rotors...
Those are 12", and the kit I got from ZZP is designed to bolt right in and work with 12" rotors...
I will let you know how they work out for me... they're a pain to install, due to break-in times, etc:
30-40 miles with only light braking
then the typical burnishing specs that HPS recommends
then no hard braking for 200-400 miles.
DAMN! =( No fast driving this weekend.

Hi `Keegan,
I think you made another great investment for
your `high performance SuperCharged Monte Carlo SS.
One must be able to stop, when one has so much power
Thanks for keeping us all updated on your modifications
to your Monte. I enjoy reading what you have done,
and what you are planning.
Look forward to your review on the latest `mod.
How many miles will you put on the new brake upgrade
before you can slam them to a Stop ?
Thanks for sharing/posting,
Good Luck,
`Space
