Default With my head down...

I have admitted defeat guys. The car has become too much. Between my wife having surgery tomorrow and all the work I need to do I have conceded. My monte needs a new Super charger gasket, LIM gasket, and there's a problem with the vacuum causing it to stall. It won't stay on. I only had one choice as to where I could bring it and that was a chevy dealer. 1200 to fix the LIM, super charger, and vacuum problem which I got the money for. But they refused to work on it since it has a gas leak. They wanted 1600 for a new tank and install which is way more than the current value of the car. I'm afraid that even if I do fix all this that it will just happen again. My HoA won't let me keep it here. I'm not going to lie, I'm a grown *** 26 year old man and I'm crying as I type this. I loved the monte. It's been in my life for a decade. I just can't take the stress. Time to find another car I suppose.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck with your Monte. Hope everything goes well for your wife.

So what are you doing with the Monte? Selling it? Where are you located?

What rippers, you can get a used tank from eBay or "Pick and Pulls" for anywhere around $40 to $150. You could swap it out yourself in I would think as a rookie turning wrenches, a couple You Tube videos and 8 hours with goofing off time factored in. That would save a cool few hundred $$$$

I just bought a fuel tank from an 06 Monte for my 02 Monte, $40 no tax
