Default Monte Carlo involved in London tragedy

A Monte Carlo is making headlines and all the news reports today in London Ontario. Well sort of. In all the reports I've read, they never got the car desciption right. Most describe a red 4 door sedan.

Six Hurt In London Costco Crash

Car crashes into London, Ont., Costco sending 6 to hospital

There are several reports out there - just google Costco crash.

The short of it is that some crazy woman backed her car through a Costco entrance, seriously injurying a pregnant woman and her 2 kids (3 and 6 years old). Her 6 year old is in critical condition.

I guess this kind of thing happens all the time. But this is unusual because anyone who knows this Costco knows that it was not an accident. You'd have to be trying to get a car in there that deep. It would practically required some driving skills. There is not parking that close to the entrance and no laneways or parking spots would line up with the angular entrance. There are cement poles that you'd have to try to miss. And she was going backwards and didn't stop when she hit the first set of doors.

What the hell was she thinking? I was nervous when I first heard reports about a woman and her 2 kids being struck down there because my wife shops there all the time...

It's not the car fault it's the idiot drivers. This isn't going to pit a bad rep on Monte Carlos but just goes to show how some drivers are horrible. That woman should have her licenses taken away permanently and if I was in that situation I wouldn't feel that angry having my licenses taken away because I'm an idiot and I can't tell the damn difference between the brake and gas pedals In an automatic car.

That's crazy!!!
Makes you wonder, what was that lady's issue that made her think driving through that store would solve her problem.....

Hi `Brent,
Very sad story, but some people just can't handle the power of a Chevy Monte Carlo. > Some people shouldn't be permitted to drive any vehicles.

Keep us updated...Maybe the lady had some type of medical condition (?)

I do hope the injured recover from this incident..

London Free Press - ‎22 hours ago‎
A six-year-old girl was fighting for her life Friday and her three-year-old sister and their pregnant mother badly hurt after they were struck from behind by a car that crashed intoa London big-box store. The fallout ... The woman's husband, a construction worker, was escorted back to London from an out-of-town job site to be with his London family, following the crash at the south-end Costco that sent six people to hospital. ... “It was like a war zone,” said one woman, her voice breaking as tears streamed down her face.

I'll be following this one for sure. As far as I know, everyone is still alive. They did have to do an emergency C-section on the pregnant mom, so that suggests that either mom or baby are/were in some serious duress...
