Default just bought my 1st monte carlo

always wanted a MCSS.found a 84 camaro z28 ive been working on past 2 weeks and finally got running and driving, didnt think i was gonna get a MCSS like i wanted from the get go.but i found a 87 SS on craigslist for 600 bucks.guy parted out some of the engine before i bought it(carb, intake manifold, radiator, etc.) needs interior.but has a decent 2 tone paint job and body is pretty much rust free excempt some on floor and door jamb.i couldnt be happier.will be a fun project and will post pics as it goes along and will sure ask lots of troubleshooting questions.heres a pic of her from off craigslist.

Well, my experience there are few people looking to restore an '81-88 Monte. Most owners want to improve on their cars.

So they consider the stock 305s boat anchors. Even theH O versions get little respect.

If you ask most of these people will reply, "Throw that 305 in the dump and build you a decent 350 or 383 stroker for your car."
