Default Im Back! But got a New Problem.. :(

Hey Everyone.. Haven't been on in a while... Wedding planning.. (june 27th) and job and ugh everything.. I do check in every now and then. But I knew I could come here to maybe find some help. The other day my Turn signals stopped working. The flashers work fine. Sometimes when I first start the Monte they will work for a couple of seconds. Then they stop. I try again and nothing. I turn the car off and try it again and nothing. But if I go out the next morning they will work for a short time (1-5 seconds). I checked all the bulbs and all the fuses. Everything is ok. I am wondering if it is one of those big block fuse things in the fuse box under the hood. I dont think it would be because the flashers work fine. Maybe in the turn signal Lever? Im so confused and I dont wanna go to the dealer. Any help would be Great. And I hope Everyone and their Montes and Familys are doing wonderful!

Its got about 61,000 on her now.. And thanks for the concern Space! I know I know.. come back only when I have a problem.. lol. Well I knew I could come back and figure it out. And the Caprice project is Slow.. very slow. Still Rebuilding the engine. It still has the stock 305 for now.. Wedding planning is stressful.. not for me so much but for her.. Which in turn reflects onto me.. lol *yikes*

So any help with this would be great. When you say multi function switch your talkin about the Turn signal lever with the wipers on it and all that right?

congrats on the wedding! what do you mean they wont come on? do you mean the green arrow not blinking?! if thats the case, check your manual because i think one of those big block fuses do control your turning lights but not positive on that. like Space said, it could just be your multi-lever acting up.(yep, the window wiper/turn signal/brights lever)!

Yep, I'm gonna go ahead and say x4 for the lever. (Not a cheap fix)

Also congrats on the wedding. You will be celebrating my birthday with quite the festive event :P

OK NEW INFO. If I have the Tilt wheel about 1/2 way up they work. If I keep the turn signal on and put the steering wheel down it stops. There is a definite point to where it works and doesn't. Maybe A pinched wire?? I dont see how? Maybe when the Stereo place mounted the remote wire for my amp they moved something.. but I dont think so. Because The stereo was installed last summer. I will tear the bottom of the steering cover off and look in there. Thanks for all the help.

Hi `Gabe,
Please post & let us know what you find ?
Good Luck
How many times do you think that you used
your turn signal lever ?

Also, to be completely re-instated as a MCF Super
Member, you must read all the post since
you've been gone (j/k)
There will be a test later
