I was just curious how many miles are on everybodys Montes. I might be buying my gf a 97 GP GTP that has 186,000 miles on it. Just wondering how long the Series II 3.8's last. My 02 SS has 70,000 miles, btw. Thanks.

The thing is ,thats the supercharged 3800 in that car. I don't know if they last as long as the standard one or not. I also don't know how hard the previous owner drove it. Without checking out the car myself, it's hard to say... it may be on i'ts last leg, it may go another 70k or so.

I've known the standard 3800 to go well over 200,000 miles though.

I have an 03 with 95,000 on it, and it will run 10 flats on hte 1/8th mile nad just a couple of weeks ago with some extreme babying I was able to take it 466.7 miles on a tank of fuel... 31.1 miles per gallon.

 

'02 SS with 117,xxx miles

 

06 SS - 16,700 miles

 

06 lt with 30K, runnin like a champ. Im not to familiar with the 3800 series though

 

Thinking on selling the Monte.

Hey DEI, your monte only has 3K on it, why is the check engine light on??

 

I was thinking the same thing, unless that's the tripometer?
