Default Hood Protector

I ordered and received this deflector today. Anyone else have one? It comes with all the mounting parts. ~$29.00 at gmpartsdirect.com.

Even has "Monte Carlo" in script on the drivers side.

It is p/n 10953640

Should blend it good with my black hood.

There are some things other people just don't like.

Two things I'm not fond of:
1. stone chips.
2. Scratches.

So, I like it. I may even buy one.

Thanks for the part number.

I bought a Weather Tech bug and stone deflector which is a molded smoked plastic. I am not a fan of the vinyl hood protectors because if you let water get trapped underneath it will ruin the paint. The only reason I bought mine was to hide all of the horrible paint chips on the front of my hood until I can get it repainted.

I personally do not like the look of those at all, but you are protecting your investment. Which no one can complain about.

I will be picking up a bra for my trip to Walker, MN this summer. Once I get back home though it is coming right off. You have no idea how many bugs and chips the cars get on the way up there. Its sick!

i never understood the point of these. I've always been told its to "protect that part of the car" for when you try to resell it, but won't it just look worse cause that part has been protected while the rest of the hasn't?

It is better than nothing, I guess. I think they look OK on trucks and SUVs, but not cars.

everyoneI know has always called that a bra. I dont know about you but I prefer no bra haha but the only ****ty thing about them is while ur paint fades naturally from the sun that one part won't so if u ever take it off it will look goofy. Same with all those magnet ribbons etc. they all make ur car fade funny.
