why is it that the 3.5 on the g6 is rated for 220hp and the 3.5 for the monte is rated at 210hp yet its the same gm motor? Am i missing somethin here? I saw inside a g6 hood the other day and the intake takes a u turn out of the throttle body and the filter in behind the right front headlight. You'd think that the intake tube going over the headers would make for hotter intake temps thus less hp??

 

yea that is wierd but same thing like my dads G6 GXP his has 3.6 vvt and so does the GMC acadia and GMC has more hp. someone told me it was a different cam or heads or something but i forgot 4 sure but either way monte looks cooler

 

they usually tune them differently because of the intakes, exhaust, blah, wheight, blah fuel, blah. so it could be anything along those lines causing the difference. its like the 08 ls4 is rated at 300 while myne is 303. (and yeah it does make a difference in alot of things) they changed alot of stuff on it includeing a 32 bit computer set compared to my 16 bit. blah blah it all adds up
