Default Exhaust Tips.... revisited

Hi everyone,

Newbie here that just picked up a new (to me) '06 LTZ. First thing that I NEED to do is cover up those little exhaust pipes. Did a search and saw various options for tips, but also found these on ebay and wondering if anyone has any experience with this seller? $55 plus shipping sounds great to me, but want a second opinion.

i have no experience with eBay at all...but just remember you get what you pay for....and if you want tips, why not just get a cat-back?

Well I'm not going for the sound, so to spend big money on the catback just for the tips doesn't make sense to me.

Personally I'd say go to a few local exhaust shops and see what they have to offer and ask about pricing and different finishes, my tips were like $40 installed at the time of having my exhaust work done. Then again they're chrome and starting to pit now...

Are you looking for bolt-on or weld on tips?

If you want the Chevy accessory tips you can get them at sources like gmpartsdirect.com.

I bought mine from Pace Warehouse which is here in Ohio. with shipping I think I paid $120 for the tips.

I did happen to see the Chevy acc. tips on the net a few days ago on sale. I think the price was like $80 for the set?

Stay away from the cheap chrome tips. They will look good for maybe a year, then they rust and will look like crap. Spend the buck and get stainless.

Thanks for the input guys. After reviewing the comments and weighing my options I'm going to go ahead and buy these. They are stainless and not chrome so I'm looking forward to it. I'll report back!

I bought some of those from ebay too from the same seller. There pretty good. No major complaints except that maybe their a little small. My next tips after exhaust will probably be something bigger to fill up the cutouts.
