Dressing out hoses and lines???
Anyone have any experience with dressing out or replacing/upgrading the hoses and various lines in a car whether a Monte or not?
I'm looking for a project to dress up the engine bay and this is something I haven't seen discussed here.
I'd like to upgrade the radiator hose, the vacuum line, the fuel lines, the power steering lines, and the brake lines. The brake lines are easy as there is already kits for this, but the others don't seem to readily available.
Not really looking for a slip on type of braid, but a real working upgrade, perhaps race quality with the hose/braid and then the connectors.

I've seen some red and blue spark plug wires online, but thats about it that I found that was specifically FOR a Monte...
as for the hoses, it would probably be easiest to find the dimensions and just find a radiator hose company like "Gates" or "Samco" and see if they have the dimensions...

mr gasket sell kits online. i think theres some on summit racing. they come with all different lengths and id sizes. cross check them with the ones on your car and have at it.
really i would be carefull though, my father had his radiator hose replace on his jeep and he had nothing but problems afterwards. you have to make sure that they are clamped down right and can withsatnd the same heat and pressure as the line your replacing.

You can get hose "covers" that you just cut and place over.
If you look at silverbullitt, a lot of his hoses aren't really braided steel, just covers I believe. Like the upper radiator.

These are silicone replacement hoses in ALL different sizes and colors. For the hoses you can't replace you can slice them up the middle and cover. LOVE this place. Look here at my Impala SS
