Default daytime running lights

does anyone know how to disable the DRLs on an 04 monte? i did it on my old grand prix, but im not sure if its in the same place on the monte

Hmm I remember reading how to do it in this forum somewhere...had something to do with bending a couple pins in a connector/harness I think...maybe someone else will know.

i want to disable them cuz i am going to put HIDs in the high beams...and i dont want them on all the time cuz of heat issues


nocturnx...how do you like those tailights? those are my next purchase after the HIDs

Love them! I have a HID kit too, I've had it for nearly a year and just have never taken the time to put them in. I got this kit: http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_p...&catid=101
I probably need to disable my DRL's too before I attempt to install them.

thanks a bunch....thats the same kit i bought for my grand prix...and now im retro-fitting it into my high beamson the grand prix, and im buying new sets for the low beams and fogs

Doesn't look like there's a way to disable the DRL's on an 04 without buying a $75 kit.
