Thumbs up Active Fuel Management!

HI GANG!
for those of you with the 06 or 07 SS with the 5.3L V8 and Active Fuel Management...
well....

what is your AVERAGE fuel economy reading?
i do love this feature and love seeing it in real time.
i use cruise control when i can, drive gingerly if i have to, and i'm known to semi-gun it once in a while for sheer power/fun, and i usually dont back down from a race. i also do a lot of highway driving, which on the way home is stop and go, and very slow. ugh.

so ...
with my K & N air filter, and these conditions/habits...
my AVERAGE fuel economy reading is 15.8mpg.

Whats yours?

I'm average around 15.8 MPG.

I was on the highway quite a bit on my current half tank and it's at 17.9 MPG.

im in the city and i have what we call a led foot. before i averaged about 16.2. i changed my tune up a bit and my driving style....aka like a normal person when i can....and im at 16.9. when im travelling at 55 instant is 33mpg... 60 29, 65 25, 70 24, 75 18. the best speed to travel at in my opinion is definately 60-65. the dod stays on for most uphills to.

hands down better milage does come with a tuner. (i have a diablo sport) the intake will help it, the throttle body spacer supposidly helps but i didnt notice any

I'm afraid of the Tuner. It sounds like a very promising tool, but I wouldn't want to mess up my car. Plus I have an extended warranty that I definitely don't want to void.

If anything went wrong you can save your factory tune, and just swap it back before taking the car anywhere :P
