5.3L pontiac gp gxp!
today i had the privilage of taking apart a grand prix gxp with the 5.3L. i noticed a few things the second i got in the car.
it has paddle shifters,
its speedo goes to 160,
and it feels like it is peppy"er";
does anyone know if it is tuned differently for the different shift styles? if so would it be possible to swap some parts and get the pad shifters in my 06 ss. (it would be different)?
i know that the speedo dosent mean the top speed of the car, but does it have a higher top speed than the 06, 07' mc SS's?
is the trans different to accomidate this and cause it to be peppy"er"

RE: 5.3L pontiac gp gxp!
You say it's peppy'er. I don't agree. I purchased my 06 SS last year at a very big dealer who had several GXP's and SS's to choose from. I drove 2 GXP's (2006 & a 2007) that day and couldn't feel the difference in power from my supercharged 3800 GTP. Then I drove the 06 SS and felt more power. I know the GXP & SS have the same engine & frame, but when I asked why did the SS feel faster I was told by different people that the GXP has more equipment, more doors and is just a heavier car thatn the Monte Carlo SS.
It would be nice to have those tap shifters in the SS and I love the leather w/swede seats.
