Default turbo or non turbo?

Im trying to decide whether to turbo my car or not i currently have a 2004 ss supercharged monte. i see that the cartuning kit with the intercooler would run me around $4700, the kit is here:
Cartuning Performance 3800 Turbo Kit: 3800 Performance

Im not very familiar with turbos so would i need any other supported mods to drop this in?

or should i just do i new cat back exhaust, plugs, 180 tstat, cam, springs, headers, and drop to maybe a 3.25 pulley?

I want to get into the 350whp range and run around a 12 second quarter. which one should i do?

i'm sorry but i don't think that stage 6 kit will get you where you want. Also, I would be worried about dropping that small a pulley without scanning for knock first.

It might be enough to run the 3.25" pulley but could be cutting it close. to be safe you will want an intercooler and a tuner. Or have someone who knows what they are doing tune the car. at this mod level you need to have custom tuning. Every car reacts different and also the climate you are in also effects the tuning too.

You will want custom tune for either setup to make sure it runs safe and runs at its best.

the cartuning kit you can install and go, no other mods are needed unless you want to.

with the cartuning kit you will be around 300whp which you will be very happy with. the only thing I would suggest is to buy a front plog and get the #6 primary on the rear manifold flipped. (kevin at cartuning can assist with the rear manifold) buy the plog used from a member or new from zzp. if you buy one used make sure it is a newer design stainless steel one.

I am running the cartuning kit and love the kit!

also another suggestion is to try and find a used turbo kit instead of buying one brand new. you can find this same kit used for about $2500-3000. save you a lot of money

IMO if you want over 300whp turbo is the easiest way of doing so, bolt on the kit and your there. to get a sc build over 300whp you need engine work.

An XP hot cam / springs should add 40 - 55 Hp as well:

Comp Cams - X-P HOT Cam #COMP-3312/3314-116+2-XP

With springs, modified retainers and an install kit you are looking at about $600. Depending on how far you are planning on modding the car, the supercharger with mods is probably acceptable is you are going stop once running mid to low 12's. If you are planning to go further, or break into the 11's then Turbo is probably a better long term investment.
