That will be slick to see the modded L26 uim. Was there a reason to keep the L26 vs the F-body UIM? Is it suspected it flows better air or holds better velocity? Or is it related more to the LIM? Or is this just an effort to stand out and have something unique?

The l26 is known to flow better than the f body intake. Not much but a little. The l26 has been proven to make over 700whp, the f body has made over 600whp but no one pushed to see how much it can support so idk if it can or can't do 700whp. Plus going this route I can use my current Lim instead of having to buy a f body one. Plus I can sell my powdercoated l26 uim and make profit back now haha.

But by doing this the coolant lines will need rerouted because to flip the uim you have to flip the Lim also. Gonna be a interesting process to make work I know that

We decided not to use the f body intake. We are still going to use a l26 uim but make it passenger side inlet. I bought another l26 uim and it should arrive at the shop today actually. All of the piping is in as well. Once the uim gets there they will begin fitting it to make it passenger side inlet. Once it's fitted they will make the new cross over and mount turbo, then fab up downpipe, charge pipes, etc. After that wiring will start. It's gonna be a long process by the sounds of this all lol. I sure hope they have it done in a couple months. Hate to miss out on most of the summer do to car being at the shop.

As more progresses and I get pics I will be sure to share here and keep everyone updated
Turbo I just got the cartuning kit installed. I'm shooting for 560-580 max, any suggestions? Trans is rebuilt, 30k miles on engine. MagnaFlow cat back exhaust setup also. (Install is fresh, actually pick it up tomorrow evening)

You installed the Cartuning kit on the ls4? What kinda power does it make just with that kit on it? Could look into a cam for a little more power.

**UPDATE**

Battery, fuse box, pcm all removed and being relocated. Once wiring is done then we will be working on the intake manifold and possibly relocating the alternator to where the ac compressor used to be. Then fabing up the exhaust and charge pipes after that.

Current pic as of 3/30/17

When you decide it's a good idea to relocate your fuse box, pcm, and battery to the trunk the interior needs stripped to rewire everything.

You are taking your Turbo Monte build to a whole new level of insanity John. What a great effort you are undertaking even to the point of the manifold swap, is this a 1st for any W-body car? Where did you get the idea to go there and do that?

MG, your car is in shambles by relocating those components. That is a herculean undertaking by any shop, all those wires have to be a living nightmare, best of luck to them and you. That definitely has to be a first

You one crazy **** for sure there John.

Had AAA come and get my Monte yesterday and take it to the shop for all of the Holley mods to be installed. Hope I get it back in a month.

You doing the W-body meet if you have your Monte back? I'm somewhat seriously considering going to it if you are going to be there.
