torque converter

Default torque converter

i have a 07 monte v6 3.5 liter and was wondering can i put a torque converter on and how big of a difference is it?

I'm sure you could since you're running a 4T65E. There are a lot of different options available for that transmission. However, it's a lot of work to swap the converter out for little to no gain (unless you have a turbo or cammed 3500). You need to focus on modifying the engine first before thinking about the torque converter.

so what would be the first things i could do to the engine? all i have done is put an open air filter on it.
