starting issues, 2003 SS
as of this morning my monte has been starting a little rough. turn the key, acts as if it wants to start but coughs/sputters real bad and stalls. second start seems to do the trick, but rpm's rev way higher than normal before plaining out. any ideas? thanks in advance.

update:
it continued to start real harsh last week thursday, and then took a dump on me. it kicked over when i left the house (again, didnt sound healthy), went to go fill up and upon trying to start it to pull away from the pump and go about my merry way, it started coughing at least twice as hard and it seemed as if the timing was WAY off. i had to put-put my way like 10 ft to a parking spot and rev the hell out of it. dumped some heet and two bottles of octane boost to see if the bitch wouldnt hold an idle by itself. bounced from 200-800rpm on idle and whenever it dropped down, i heard a pretty harsh clicking/grinding coming from the engine. i decided to try and make my way to the mechanic, succeeded with a lot of putting it in neutral at lights and revving to maintain idle (probably should have gotten a tow). anyways, the dude is lookin at it tomorrow morning. pretty messed up, just thought i'd share that with yall.
