Default Need help with new plugs and wires

Hey guys, so my first question is to all the 7th gen guys (or anyone who knows) what type of plugs are OEM in the 06 Monte Carlo. I'm thinking of changing mine (don't think it needs it as it starts fine) just to know that for the rest of the time I have the car I won't have to worry about spark plugs. Now my other question is, what kind of wires do people normally get to help bring some color into the engine bay. And what else do people normally change out for a colored version, such as hoses, other wires, etc. Hopefully that all made sense haha. Thanks for the help guys

if you do plugs you may want to go for a cooler heat range. if you check on tech theres a bunch of threads on the recommended plugs. also the factory wires i think are pretty good.

Time also has an effect, not everything is mile oriented. 5 years or 100k on iridium is what I always read.

1 year or 12k on copper.

I used Delco iridium plugs on the Deuce. She only had 70,000 miles on her at the time. I did it because I was painting the valve covers and had the covers off the engine and the plugs where easy to get to

I was more so wanting new wires that kind of color match my car and the red/white theme I'm going for.

Thanks chibi, I may just go pull my plugs and see how they look. I'm pretty sure they have never been changed before. But the place I got the car from put new tires on, new windshield whipers, and changed the oil that I know of. I wonder if they changed the plugs as well

I would be willing to bet they didn't. The rear plugs are a lot of shop time lol

You might wanna flush the coolant too... And it's difficult on that car. We actually took my parents' to a shop.

I will look into that for sure. Is there anything else I should look into changing?
