Ok 04 Intimidator when do u think that u will be coming to Ohio. I hope u are close to where I live. I live in the Cleveland area. So hopefully we will be able to get this done.
It's going to be awhile. Looking at April or so. I would get the OBD2 scanner for now and just clear it whenever it pops up.

Once it warms up in Wisconsin I'm putting my GenV on and N* and I plan to goto Indiana and Ohio for some tuning and fun.

I have the same exhaust system and had the same problem. Because of the higher flow, the O2 sensor is making a false reading. There is nothing wrong. Just buy an O2 delete, install it on the backside of the cat, and problem solved. Mine cost around $40, including shipping.

The O2 delete doesn't work on an 04 Monte. According to Zoomer he had a few sent back to him before he knew there was a redesign done or something and the new O2 sensor measures heat as well. They haven't been able to figure out how to beat that in the simulators.

Thanks for the heads up on that. I'm glad that simple solution worked on my 02!

Yeah, it would have been nice if I could have gotten away with it.

Hey guys I am about to have a hi-flow cat and u-bend deleted in the next few days too. So does everyone have this problem with the check engine light coming on? And will buying the O2 simulator mess up/decrease my mpg?

Not everyone has the problem but many do. It doesn't affect gas milage at all (it may even help it out), it just tells you that your cat isn't working within specifications.

For the O2 sim, just make sure your vehicle is a 96-03 model.

I just checked your car domain page, the O2 sim will work fine for you.

Thanks Intimidator. Any gain in gas mileage will be an improvement for me right now. As my cat has gone bad and I am getting roughly 23 mpg highway.
