Smile Happy Horse Power Man!!!

I have a friend that ownes DBR here in spring hill tn. Just for the fun of it, we put my ss on the dyno just to see what it was doing. It is totally stock except for K&N intake, and it marked at 235. This is the non supercharged 3800, so I do not think I can complaine to much. Now for some hotter plugs and wires, and slight exaust work, and I should be over 250

no way a stock 3800 made 235whp..... his dyno is not calibrated right or you didnt make the pull in the right gear....

You realize this is impossible right? N/A 3800 has 200 CRANK hp. Wheel power should be around 160ish stock.

I do not know how. I was really suprised myself. I thought it was only about 200-215, but that is what his dyno said. He does professional dynos every day so I am sure the equipment is correct. I can say that I have only had this Monte about 6 weeks, so I can not say there is nothing that has been done inside the motor. I have only added a K&N myself though.

as leprechaun said a stock N/A 3800 (l36) makes 200bhp which would be around 160-165whp...... a intake will not give you 60whp, an intake will be lucky to give you 2-5whp.... your numbers are equivalent to a s/c 3800 (l67) with like a 3.4 s/c pulley and all supporting mods for that pulley including a tune..... no way your making that kind of whp!

Yeah, I am totally new to this stuff myself, so I may be very wrong. I was not in the car so I do not know what gear he used. I He watched the screens and told me, so I do not have a print out or anything either. Like I said I very well could be wrong. You guys are making good points, and I am seeing what you are saying when researching more. I sure wish it was true though LOL

Thay fine man I just didn't want you thinking you were making insane numbers and then if and when you mod it you make the se or less and be disapointed. I really wish you had a video and a print out we could look at.... maybe he meant 135.... that seems on the low side though...
