the monte carlos' were not flexfuel vehicles... I wouldn't run it....

and yeah, your mileage will go right in the toilet, not to mention any other issues you may cause by running e85 in the non-flexfuel vehicle to begin with, heh...

They most certainly were on some models, just not the 5.3L SS in the 7th Generation.

i see the flex fuel emblem on the 3.9's too . . . . unless it's just someone around here being retarded.

I have never seen a flex fuel emblem on ANY 2006/2007 v6 Monte here in CT...

2007+ impala's, yes... but never on a monte...

and the specs I looked up earlier, showed/said that only the 3.5's were flex fuel capable... not the 3.9's...

I dunno.. I got a 5.3 and only run 93 octane in it LOL

getting worse mileage with e85 wouldn't be worth it to me - we don't have it around here anyway.. but if we did, it's not worth it... may cost a little less, but your mileage goes down the toilet so you're filling up more anyway...

to be honest if it said dont use gas with e85 additives is the only place where you can get gas from is marinas. because 95-100% of all gass stations have the mix in the fuel containing 5-10%. if your vin ends with a k it is a flex fuel car and you can run e85 in it. with a car that isnt designd for it will run funky do to the e85 having a different burn rate then regular gas. what i mean it will cause a kr sensor error reading when there isnt any thing wrong but the fuel. what i can tell the difference between the flex and the regular engine is the sensors and the injectors are different. what i was told by a tech at the dealer when i was getting service done on it. was the injectors had to be bigger for the e85 as well as a different knock sensor as well as different sensors. he showed me the different subtle to the two engins plus a tune for the e85. the tech said the block is the same but the minor changes were made as different things mentioned. but the two 3.5 are designed the same with two distinked tweaks. me personally i wouldent run e85 due to how bad gas milege is pluse it is very hard to find a gas station wich sells it. it is to far and imbotween to find two or three when i go and come from work as well as running errans
