Default Exhaust Bracket

Do I really need to put this back on? Just replaced valve covers and really don't want to *fiddle* with it. This is the bracket directly behind the valve covers held on by two 13mms.

That's the bracket that the engine cover (and optional air pump) sit on, isn't it?

Sure is. I put it on anyways. Now I'm looking for where this connector came from and where my alternator power wire went.

If it's just a blue connector floating, that doesn't have anywhere to go on most cars. It's used for an optional pump for emissions testing.

Alt wire probably just goes into the alt itself

The alternator wire was hiding behind the belt tensioner (while i was under there I did the aluminum elbows.) Real pain to undo the belt, and the tensioner to get that sucker out. oh well. Aluminum valve covers look great. Especially since my rear one had a hole in it!? Thanks Chibi for clarifying that dangling connector.
