Default Broken gas gauge!!

I have a 2001 Monte ss. The gas gauge does show when theres gas In but it just stays at full. And right before it's empty it will jump to E. I'm Itching my head over here. also my computer says everything that could be wrong with it is wrong but it's not. I'm thinking this might be it but I'm not sure. How to reset or clear errors. So I can fix my gas gauge. Thanks

Default sending unit

Have you checked the sending unit? My 2001 OPC did some thing of the same. Replaced the sending unit. Problem fixed.

There is one, should be near the front valve cover, usually has a little black cap over it that you need to remove first.
