Throttle bodies
Hello,
I have a 2006 monte carlo SS 100% stock and I wanted to add a throttle body to it and possibly soon a air intake. I researched online and found an AC Delco for around $150 seemed good but I have none to compare it to. What Im askin is where can I find a good place online to get good performance parts...I live in the L.A area in cali if theres a local spot Ill travel preferrably in the valley.

Welcome to the forum! Everything that I have read about the LS4 indicates that a throttle body will not significantly help you achieve your performance goals. The most restrictive part of the air intake system that we have is the intake manifold. The intake manifold restricts right along side of the oil pressure sending unit which is an integral part of the Displacement on Demand or Active Fuel Management that we have on our cars. Your best bet for immediate right foot pleasure is a Cold Air Intake and a Catalytic converter-back exhaust. I believe (but I'm not sure) that WizAird makes a CAI for the LS4. You can get rid of the factory manifold, but it is a pretty in depth process. Good luck and again, Welcome!
