Default 1985 monte ss transmission upgrade

Hello All
I am just starting a project on my 1985 SS, all stock now.
I will be putting in a new gm ZZ383 with 450 hp and 450 tq.
I want to use the factory transmission so I can keep the original numbers. I know I have to have it built to handle the addition power. My question is, where is a good place to have the work done. I live in Michigan, but shipping it would be OK also. I have looked on line, and see that there a number of places. Anyone have first hand experience with one?
By the way, it will be a street car under normal PLUS driving conditions. Maybe 1 or 2 trips to the strip just to see what it can do. Also any recommendations as Torque convertor stall speeds?
Thank You
Keith

A 2800 stall wouldn't be to bad.As for rebuilding the trans if you got some wrenching skills you might be able to do it yourself http://www.monstertransmission.com/store/ is a good place to get what you need to rebuild it

Default Still Looking

I've got some skills, but I don't have all the special tool required, and I don't think it would be worth it to buy them for one job. Still looking for what company to work with. They most all say they are the best, just would like to here from someone that has had first hand experience with one. I am sure someone out there has had a 200 4R beefed up at some point.
Thanks Keith

Any thoughts of pulling the original tranny and putting it away and using a beefed up 350?

Default Extreme Auto

I think I am gong to be using Extreme Automatic at this point.
I have read good things about them on the Grand National boards.

Keith:
Unfortunately.. I was on vaca when you made this post for help or I would have chimed in sooner..

You can post pics... After a post minimum of 10 and a 5 day minimum of being a member (which you already qualify.) To prevent spaming no offense... But we have had a problem with spammers in the past. thus the minimum post count and days as a member.

Via photobucket etc and or directly from your phone and your computer...

you can also copy and paste them... (Not sure what comp skills you have)
But were here to help either way!

Since im not familiar with the place you had your transmission done at...
But if you have any questions issues.. feel free to contact AL!
at Al's Tranmission on fort st in Southgate Mi.
Below is a link to his web site...

It has been a while, so here is where I am at now.

I will be taking it to the Dyno sometime this month for break in, and tuning, before I put it in the car
