Mod first, tune last.

I would use a vendor like ZZP or Overkill for the tune. But you want to do all of the modifications that you want first so you don't have to tune again later.

What Chibi said, mod first tune last.

But once it's time to tune, I can happily endorse the Overkill Tune. I bought one a few months back and it does everything I was hoping for and more, can't say a bad thing about it.

Happy modding...

Although the communication with Will is not too good (in my own personal experience), the Overkill product works great! He'll custom tune to your mods so +1 for modding first. He did good work. Currently, I have the 87 octane setup but I am about to mod further so I hope he can make the changes for me.

i lol'd when i read "i want my car to be fast" no offense man.

but just to let you know, the tune is the last part in a mod plan as already stated. you need to do the mods you want or can afford and then tune for the mods. the mods are what makes the power and the tune makes the mods work correctly do make the power. if you tune a stock car the gains will be very minimal and you probably wont feel any difference at all.

now if you want to go fast you will need to either supercharge or turbo the car. natural aspirated cars just cant make enough power to be fast they need the power adder.

a supercharged build will get you quick and you will make 300whp with not to much into the build but anything over 300whp on a supercharged build will start getting very pricey for little gains.

a turbo build is pricey right from the start but will net you way bigger gains then a supercharged build will. i know a guy that is making 550whp in a buick regal on a turbo build. my monte is at 384whp on a turbo build but i am on low boost, with another 3,000 in upgrades i will be around the 550whp mark as well.

last thing, DONT FORGET ABOUT YOUR TRANSMISSION!!!!! if you start making decent power you will kill the trans eventually. look into "triple edge" for a trans or the guy that did my trans build by the name of "tim king" i am very happy with my tim king build and will get another one from him if ever needed for sure.

good luck and happy modding

At the point your transmission starts slipping, or banging into gears because you ruined it
