the info I was looking for thanks
I can't fab parts but about 60 miles away is a place that is known for working on performance cars or making them .... the option is available and likely the best bang for buck upgrade I'm starting to think
follow up question, does the LS4 have to come from a car or a suv version ?
it looked like you almost replaced all the wiring, was that by choice or necessity

The LS4 only came in fwd cars. Grand prix, monte, impala, and some Buick. It MUST be an LS4 from a fwd car to bolt up to the 4t65 transmission. All rwd ls engines have a different trans bolt pattern that would require an adapter to work with a 4t65.

Best bet is to get as trans also IMO. The more complete of a setup you get from a donor car, the less you have to worry about oddball stuff later. Theoretically any 4t65 will work with a modified tune, but the 4t65HD is a better place to start.

Hey, this is an awesome build! Do you happen to have a parts list of what all went into it that I could get from you.

Help, anyone have pics of engine bay of stock SS??? I was hit in ps front headlight area AND when the shop put car back together they did not put any of the engine decals back on and they broke the tabs of the pcm and it was hanging and about to go right into my serpentine belt. So pics needed are of any/all decals and the ps engine bay from the rad, battery, engine brace, ps engine bay fuse box and finish at the shock top. Thank you soooo much
