this is the only "real" ram air hood i know of there are other ones that are just the Lund hood scopes that are held on with adhesive i believe.

Hey go to PFYC.COM they have the functional ram air hood for your monte there. I have one on mine, so I know it is a working scoop.

well thats really gonna depend if u wanna run ur air intake thru it and it would take some serious changes to do that...or just add a supercharger that will allow u to draw the air thru the ram air intake

Hey, well yes I suppose it is better. The air intake is normally behind the left headlight area. The hood actually has a channel running from the scoop over to the air filter area where it exits via about a 4" port. As to noticing a difference, I believe there is one, just trying to get alot of cold air to the turbo, it has to help. They also have an airbox enclosure thing to buy if you wish to totally contain the new air and let the air intake absorb it. I didnt get it due to the turbo configuration.

don't get the pfyc hood, I've heared too many horror stories of the hood being warped and fitment issues. Get the MPD hood

http://www.mpd-inc.net/mc.htm

This place also sells MC hoods, but I haven;t see pics of it on a MC yet.

X2!!!! The MPD hood is lighter, designed better, and has better fabrication to it and has the ram air. (which is next to useless).

The PFYC one is just a cheap knock off.
