We will plan on adding/splitting classes if the numbers warrant it. Last year was a good time, hoping to add to it this year. Local Cruise in after show for those who would like to do a monte carlo caravan and check out some more nice cars. Don't hesitate to contact myself or Dave for info/thoughts/suggestions. Hopefully gas prices will be a little more cooperative this year so more people will be able to attend.

Yeah, the Midwest is a huge area unfortunately. I actually live about 2 hours from the show site, so it is pretty close for me, but not right in my back yard.

LOL! cool ... talk about being right in your backyard!!!
:)
I've been mentioning this gathering in separate threads on all of the MC (and some other) boards of which I'm a member, so I'm doing my best to help get the word out, Rodney!
And, yes, I plan to attend this year. Last year, I got sick and couldn't be there. Hopefully, that won't happen again this year.

ttt, is anyone planning on going to the NMCOA nationals this year? Not the same show or same time, but fairly close to each other for location. I am attending both, just curious if anyone had plans for either one yet.

*raises hand*
I am!
It is, for those that aren't aware, June 26-28, Collinsville IL (near STL). Not sure yet how many of my MCs will be in attendance...but, my hotel reservations are already made...and have been for MONTHS!

I might actually be in town on those dates....
and I have friends in collinsville (and stl) so no hotel fees for me! haha
but do you have to be a member to go, or if not is there some fee at the door? I know there is a website to get more info right?
sorry a little offtopic, but bumped again :)

The NMCOA convention which is held in Collinsville this year is a members only show. You have to be a current member of the NMCOA which is $35 a year I believe and there is also a $35 entry fee for the actual show to enter your car. The Midwest Monte Carlo Gathering in St. Louis is open to all Monte Carlo's, no membership required, for $15 which includes a pizza lunch. I have only missed one of the NMCOA conventions since I started going in 2001 and even though it requires being a member and a larger entry fee, the price has never stopped me from going. It is a great show and a great bunch of people and cars to meet and see. I host the Midwest Monte Carlo Gathering and the main objective for it is the same atmosphere that I have always encountered at the NMCOA conventions but at the same location every year, and at a much cheaper cost for anyone who wants to attend without the commitment of being a member to a club or organization, just an owner of a monte carlo. Hopefully, we can get a good turnout at both events from people on this board as well as other monte carlo boards out there. One more month until Collinsville, 4 more months until St. Louis, I better get started LOL.

The block of rooms has been set up for anyone that is interested. Cost is $82 per night. There is also some kind of motorcycle event the same weekend, so anyone thinking they might go should consider reserving a room early.

Got the Trophies and Dash plaques ordered, less than a month to go. Hope to see a lot of montes this year. I have added another class for 3rd gens so they are not grouped with the 4th gen non-ss cars. So anyone that has a 3rd gen or knows someone with a 3rd gen send them our way. It is the only generation we have not had show up at our 2 previous shows. I have faith this year that we will have some 3rd gens. See everyone in a few weeks.

I might try to come up for this one. I'm from the SW MO area, but currently live in FL. I'd love to be up there, but the wife might kill me for driving 14 hours just for a car show.
